According to OXM, 343 Industries could also be working on a Halo 2 Anniversary game, as noted in their rumors and speculations section.

According to the latest issue of the Official XBOX Magazine, 343 Industries is working on a high-definition remaster of Halo 2.

This was posted in their rumors and speculations section.

Like last year’s Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, this update is said to be called Halo 2 Anniversary.

No more details were given.

Halo Anniversary launched ten years after its initial release. So, we should expect a 2014 release for Halo 2 Anniversary?

Again, this is still a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.

If its true, I think they should do more with halo 2 anniversary than just a simple graphics update, for example a dictectors cut containing stuff that was cut from the original such as the ending (which ive heard they even have dialogue for).

Also make the reworked soundtrack sound less 'hollow' than halo:ann.

i'd hope they include the expansion pack maps since they were free to download (or very cheap to buy at retail) and this time i really hope they do a decent special edition and not that dlc clusterfuck they are doing for halo 4 (which will be a pre owned buy only).
