Activision has announced that they will publish a first-person shooter based on the hit TV series The Walking Dead, in 2013.

That's right, Activision has announced a FPS based on The Walking Dead TV series.It will be developed by Terminal Reality (4x4 EVO, BloodRayne, Ghostbusters: The Video Game), and will follow the story of Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle on a “haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta.”

Zombies will use sight, sound, and smell to detect Dixon, who has the option of using stealth or brute force to combat the undead. Along the way, Dixon will scavenge supplies, such as ammunition and food, and meet “a slew of other characters.” Whether or not these characters will accompany Dixon is completely up to the player.

The game will be released in 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Watch the teaser trailer below. And, make sure to visit the official game website, also linked below.

Now this will hopefully be sweet.

It seem like they will actually use the actors (as character models) from the TV series.
