Exclamation UK judge's ruled that Galaxy Tab does not infringe iPad design

And adds: 'Not as cool as iPad'

A UK judge has ruled that the Samsung's Galaxy Tab lineup doesn't infringe on iPad design patent's as it not as cool as the Apple's

This is funny. Among all those patent lawsuits war Samsung and Apple are involved, an UK judge has decided that the Galaxy Tab is not infringing any Apple's iPad patent as it's design and "feeling" is not as cool as the iPad one .

    According to Bloomerg:

The Galaxy tablet doesn’t infringe Apple’s registered design, Judge Colin Birss said in a ruling today in London. He said that consumers weren’t likely to get the two tablet computers mixed up.

The Galaxy tablets “do not have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design,” Birss said. “They are not as cool.”
Well, at least Samsung won on this one after all.

Yes taking a touch screen computer and making it portable no matter how much smaller does not = we own the idea.

I wonder what Apple would have said if they had been sued by Xerox? Seems like it was OK for them to barrow some idea's but not for some one else to do it to them.

At least the judge made the right choice.
