A modder has developed a process that eliminates the need of a case when wirelessly charging an iPhone 4s.

A modder nicknamed "Tanveer", has modified his iPhone 4S to charge wirelessly.

Of course, this eliminates the need of a case when wirelessly charging the phone.

Alright, this isn't for beginners, as it involves disassembling a PowerMat, the iPhone itself, and a lot of soldering. However, if done correctly, the charging works great, and only adds about 1MM to the overall thickness.

"There are wireless charging options out there such as the powermat system but they all involve slipping on a jacket around the iPhone. I wanted to internalize the technology so that the beauty of the iPhone not hidden away!"
Because of the extra thickness added, he also had to slightly modify the back of his phone.
