The Vita I can understand.... its portable, it's used in public, people like to show it off.

Sony really don't seem to make a big deal about it, to be honest. I've only heard of these new models from retailers.
but yeah, Nintendo think it's a big deal, and it shits me how many 3DS colours there are compared to games worth playing on the platform (there are currently 9 colours that I can think of for the original 3DS, there's also special editions.)
Plus the PS3 isn't really struggling, the 3DS is. and remember when Nintendo did the black Wii? They thought it'd encourage hardcore gamers to buy the Wii. How ridiculous.
