Exclamation Battlefield 3: Aftermath first details revealed!

Coming in December, 'End Game' in March.

Check out the first details of Battlefield 3's fourth expansion pack. Also, EA promises to support BF3 after the release of BF4.

The first details for the upcoming Battlefield 3: Aftermath DLC have been unveiled, ahead of Armoured Kill, which comes out in September.

Aftermath will release this December and will include four maps, new game mode and new vehicles.

Battlefield 3's December DLC pack, Aftermath, will contain four maps set in and around Tehran. A devastating earthquake has shattered the city, but remnants of both occupying military forces do battle among the ruins using some heavily converted civilian vehicles to gain an edge.

"With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives," DICE explain on the Battlefield site.

"Additional support comes in the form of heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy."

Aftermath will also add a new game mode, though DICE don't give any further details on what it'll be. The pack will also introduce new assignments, achievements and dog tags.
The site's calendar also officially acknowledges and dates BF3's "End Game" DLC pack for March of 2013.

Additionally, and if you didn't know, these are the details for the Aftermath DLC, which -again- will be available in September:

    - Armored Kill will have five new drivable vehicles including mobile artillery, tank destroyers and ATVs.
    - There will be over 20 vehicle specific unlocks.
    - Players will be able to spawn in and fire from the all-new gunship.
    - We will be introducing the Tank Superiority game mode where tank pilots and infantry will have to use all their skills to control key points of the maps.
    - The console player cap will stay at 24 players. Players can expect to have a great time on these maps as we are custom tailoring the new Armored Kill maps with these parameters in mind.
You can watch the Aftermath gameplay trailer below.

And finally, EA has reaffirmed its commitment to Battlefield 3 for those concerned by the announcement of Battlefield 4, which will release on October/November 2013.

"We are committed to providing an excellent Battlefield 3 experience well into the future, past the releases of Aftermath, End Game and Battlefield 4," EA said.

"DICE is continuing its work on Battlefield 3 alongside Battlefield 4. Most importantly, official details regarding Battlefield 4 will always be made available on Battlefield.com and here on the Battlefield Blog. We expect that the level of interest in Battlefield 4 will lead to a lot of speculation and rumour - don't fall for it!"
So, there you go. We have plenty of Battlefield ahead of us. Are you excited?
