Exclamation Silent Hill HD update patch will not arrive to Xbox 360

So you'd better buy the game for Playstation 3

Konami has confirmed that the fix for the Xbox 360 version of Silent Hill HD Collection will never be released.

Bad news for all Xbox 360 users, Konami has confirmed today that "Plans for an Xbox 360 title update," to Silent Hill HD Collection, "have been cancelled due to technical issues and resources."

The patch that fixes some frame rate and audio-synching problems was released for Playstation 3, but it seems that it won't be released for the Xbox 360 version of the game.

"Konami apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the Xbox 360 SKU."
    So that's definitely bad news.

In other words, they don't want to pay for their sloppy work, they should be made to patch it as they are just one ammounf many companies who use the whole release it no not properly tested and think they can just patch it later approach. If Nintendo can get it right first time nearly every time then the rest are just short changing thier customers and intentionally so, so hopefully leaving themselves open to being taken to court over it. I'm not a fan of these court cases for the sake of it deals, but in cases like this where it is baltantly a case of a company refusing to pay to rectify their mistakes, then I am all for it. Just imagine if Sony or MS had said the same about their hardware faliures, the PS2 would have been a flop and likley the PS3 would never have happened, and the the 360 probably would have been dead itnhe water ina couple of months. The fact is Konami can fix it and no excuses should be allowed on a fixed hardware platform (PC's I can sort of get as it can be difficult to replicate a problem and fix it due to hardware/software combo's not to mention a fix for one may screw up another combo). Games companies get away with way to much when it comes to sloppy work and should be brought into line with every other business.

By the way that doesn't just apply to Konami, tho they deserve a kick in the happy sack for their screwed up newer Silent Hill games and even more so for MGS4 (good when you can actually play it between loading, FMV's of no relevance to the plot or just piss poor in general and Installs for every damn chapter).
    My gaming systems -
    Consoles - Wii, Xbox 360 Elite, Xbox 360 Jtag Jasper 2TB 3.5" HDD, PS3 60GB UK launch version, PS3 hacked with 500GB 3.5" HDD (2TB wouldn't work ).

    PC - i7 3930K @4.6GHZ, Asus Rampage IV Extreme, 2xRadeon 7970, 32GB DDR3, 4TB Raid HDD (4X Samsung Spinpoint F3, SSD boot drive OCZ Vertex 3 120GB )

These are gaming systems I am biased towards (may as well throw in everything from last gen and before as if the PC can emulate it I am likley to have it)

well in the uk a court case isnt required, its covered under the sale of goods act (as amended) the same law that sony broke with the removal of other os, so anyone with a copy of shhdc and the receipt to prove they bought it new can request a refund from the store or contact trading standards if they need to.
