New Patent shows off Wii U Pad Point and Drag



Nintendo filed a patent back in October, that shows off the various ways the Wii U Pad will work!

A Nintendo patent reveals that Wii U multiplayer games can take place on two separate screens – the television and the Wii U GamePad.

For example, in a two-player game, one player points a Wii Remote toward the television screen while the other points at the Wii U GamePad’s screen with another Wii Remote.

if its successful apple will sue them anyway, they'll find some generic patent they originally stole from someone else and try to profit from it.

i cant see people using the wii u pad as a screen then stand away as pictured, more like sat in your room playing a multiplayer on the wii u as if you were playing handhelds.

but this i hear using the wii u pad can only be 2 players, id rather play on my 60" split screen than have to look down at a small screen.

the only good thing i can honestly say about the wii u pad is you could keep playing if someone is watching the tv, but then i think, if games are going to soley use the ifad like they do the DS as a map/item select, this would make it impossible.

so really its not needed, just another gimmick controller to give the system hype and something for the fanboys to say is innovative and unless your using this to play games, its not fun.

this is basically a vita clone, but lets watch the nintendo fans say sony copy if they also add remote play on the ps4
