Exclamation 'Good Stuff' Coming To Nintendo Fans Soon

Just not at this year's Gamescon 2012

Back in 2009, Nintendo was front stage at Gamescon as pictured above, but this year just a big empty space was on the 2012 floor

Nintendo decided to be a NO SHOW at this week’s Gamescom in Germany, and most of the Wii U updates that came out from the event were from publisher Ubisoft.

ONM Editor-In-Chief Chandra Nair tells Nintendo fans to keep the faith because the "good stuff" is coming soon.

Chandra didn’t specify, however, whether the news will be related to Wii U or Nintendo 3DS.

“Keep the faith Nintendo fans. You didn't see much at Gamescom other than Ubi updates but the good stuff IS just around the corner”

if i was ubisoft i'd be a bit pissed off at that remark. like their stuff was ok but not the good stuff.

anyway all will be revealed next month.

we now know the Xbox One's game licensing policy was written from the ground up for companies. It's aggressively anti-consumer and anti-middle class, and it outright ignores underprivileged gamers. It's gross, despicable, greedy, pathetic, cowardly and out of touch with a growing global resentment for corporations. - Polygon 7th June 2013

I dont think they pissed on UBI on purpose as UBI have been a big supporter since GameCube days.

Nintendo should be glad they have UBI instead of EA on board. With developers like Irrational Games, Avalance Studios, Gearbox etc. Nintendo dont need COD #23 from Activision either. COD is so overmilked that i'm still waiting for MW3 to get as low as 15$ before i buy it.

In 3-4 years, COD Black Ops 2 will be as low as 15$ too. If i care then, i might pick that up too. I finished all COD games up to Black Ops. MW3...still way too pricey at 50% off as i dont care much for the online servers with cheating kids...and people with COD so far up their ass that they are kicking anyone who beat them.

Wanna know why so many buggy games never gets fixed on Xbox 360 and Windows Phone?

Microsoft charges 40.000$ each time a Indie dev submits a patch.

Microsoft...They are as Indie friendly as my Ass.

Wii U in short: Free online, frequently Free "On Disk DLC" and no online passes.

I can't really play COD online, I feel so bad for everyone, when I am getting killed 1-2 times for an entire match and I have racked up like 30+ kills its just pathetic. The AI puts up more of a fight than 99% of the people who play (on hard ). I think they play on easy mode and think they are awesome then jump online expecting it to be just like that. Even after ranking up the system seems kind of whack for the match making or people still suck even with high rank and perks?

I miss being able to train people on local multi player games so I can hone my own skills to an ever higher level.

I guess that would be my tip for anyone who wants to be the best at a game, train some people to be better than you and then train yourself to be better than them rinse and repeat.

I have also experienced this. I'm usually level 1 when i start to play online, and half of the time i'm on 1-3 place, and mostly among top 5. This is what i experienced in games like COD, Halo, Resistance, Gears of War 1-3, Killzone 2-3 etc.

Level 45 for example does not show how good you are at all.
Everyone can get level 50 if they want.
If you have the time, you can just play until you get that level. It does not require skills at all. If you have good skills, you are levelling fast. If you suck at FPS it just takes more time to get level 50.

The levelling system kinda sucks, because its only a different kind of time to show how long you have played.
Many at level 50 in a game really suck. They just lack talent to play FPS, but still play it.

Level 10 shows that you played 2-3 hours.
Level 20 shows that you played 10-15 hours
    Level 30 = 30 hours

This is of course not accurate, as it depends on how fast you can grind XP.

A few years ago i played against a third time Elite 3 player in Rainbow Six 2. Thats like leveling 150 or so.
He was only an average FPS player even after all this time. And yet, he bragged about the skills required to get to this point..LOL
Anyone with 200 hours to spare can get to his level.

XP and levelling never show skills at all. Only selected Leaderboards and all ingame end result shows skills.

i would like to see some engine put in place when people are playing online games, that monitors how they act and react online, so that when they make a new game, with this information they can make its offline AI more realistic.

"I feel like some kind of legendary Mercenary"
"Diminished sense of reality, huh? VR Training will do that"
