Media, burner and game compatibility

I just bought the 710 = 111D from my job, it came out to $40 with my discount!

I have Verbatims and Dynex DL's and I will burn in a few mins. I'll post back with my results.

710 = 111D right out of the box on Verbatim DVD+R DL Works Perfectly! Playing Burnout now! I will test the dynex DL's soon.

I cannot thank you enough for your help whackawookie, and all of the others that replied. I am going to test out more and let you guys know. By the way, Burnout was NTSC incase you need it for the list. I burnt it DVD Decrypter method.

by my power of deductions and living in the state of NJ id say PA has ntsc systems. lol

actually I'm from NY, LOL. PA was just the ECW Gimmick, LOL. I just got this screen trying to burn an "IMAGE"

i found out that in my laptop i have a pioneer burner:

Pioneer DVR K14L (Firmware 1.10)

it should support DL burning, will find out this evening if this one works fine

From the pioneer website:

The DVR-K14L and K04L are capable of burning both DVD+R and DVD-R media at 8X. Moreover, the Pioneer slim burners support up to 4X for DVD-RW/+RW and 2.4X for Double Layer media.

If Anybody knows if this drive supports bitsetting or how to figure out how to find out without wasting a DL media ThX

forgot to add that games burnt with a Phillips DVDR1660P1 Will work on a 360 with a samsung drive but none of them work on the hitchi drive
