o and is the hitachi more picky then the samsung drive for reading backups
    thanks
Get the one by Slysoft. 5.2.9.1. is the latest version, but I had an older version work fine too. The Hitachi is supposed to be more picky, but I haven't tested that. I have a Samsung and it reads Office Depot DL +R DVDs (ritek media code) burnt with a Lite-on burner great.

    ..

Will there ever be a firmware update for the hitachi without having to reboot your console to get the games running?

I seen it on both and prefer the Samsung method..Just like normal games!

not unless somebody edits the fw to scan the media longer before timeout. Theres the edit where you hit eject and it stays in the rom so it scans longer but i just keep my plug and play kit in my 360, no need to reflash for a minimal fix

whats your clock setting got to do with booting the games?

the plug and play trick is when you plug ur controller in with the kit insert the game and wait for it to hit dash then turn off ur 360, u should hear ur system still on and ur disc still being read, then just turn it back on and it reads. I have a pioneer dvr 110 and it works great. I saw this clock setting thing too but im pretty sure my clock gets set automatically from the net. I dont remember ever setting it and its correct. Maybe i just forgot doing it but hey

    hi

hey mate..thanks for your quick replies on the forums!
For some reason my web page only allows me to SOMETIMES reply or post! most of the time it stays on a blue screen!
I dunno whats wrong with this site??

Anyway the plug n play method does not sound any different to just switching it on n off anyway?

Also to copy back ups is it best to create the image then burn? or just do it of the fly?

    thanks!

turn the system on and when it gets to dash put the game in if its not already in, if its in just wait for the system to load to dash, once its done just turn the system off with the plug and play kit connected then just turn it back on
