Get the one by Slysoft. 5.2.9.1. is the latest version, but I had an older version work fine too. The Hitachi is supposed to be more picky, but I haven't tested that. Will there ever be a firmware update for the hitachi without having to reboot your console to get the games running?
I seen it on both and prefer the Samsung method..Just like normal games!
not unless somebody edits the fw to scan the media longer before timeout. Theres the edit where you hit eject and it stays in the rom so it scans longer but i just keep my plug and play kit in my 360, no need to reflash for a minimal fix

whats your clock setting got to do with booting the games?hey board little info for those users with hitachi drive and firmware hack,say you have a backup that never boots up with simple open drive/close drive method and instead u gotta try the hd trick or one of those others ways to boot it,well i found out if u go to settings on your dashboard and make sure the clock settings are set at the right date and time,then reboot 360 wait till it gets to dashboard open drive,insert backup,close drive then sit back and it should load first time had this with 3 games i had to do controller method to boot now work first time sine i corrected my clock settings.

the plug and play trick is when you plug ur controller in with the kit insert the game and wait for it to hit dash then turn off ur 360, u should hear ur system still on and ur disc still being read, then just turn it back on and it reads. I have a pioneer dvr 110 and it works great. I saw this clock setting thing too but im pretty sure my clock gets set automatically from the net. I dont remember ever setting it and its correct. Maybe i just forgot doing it but hey

i have samsung in my box and nec-2500A burner have tried anything yet but was wondering if there is a compatibility list of burners and media to use for the samsung so i can weight my othions for purchasing any help would be helpful

turn the system on and when it gets to dash put the game in if its not already in, if its in just wait for the system to load to dash, once its done just turn the system off with the plug and play kit connected then just turn it back on
any help on my previous question anyone. just got a nme-360 chip also does anyone know about those as well
