sent a modded 360 to MS for repair

Well, about 12 days ago, ups picked up my FW modded and warranty voided 360. and took it to the xbox repair center.

I have been calling repeatedly to check on it, Today, the woman said it was shipped yesterday! So it will some later today or tomorrow!

so dont be afraid of sending ure voided xbox in!

Did you have the sticker on? I have heard stories of them being successful with sticker off

also, it had really worn out screwheads and cutmarks on it.

and a different, gowing sata cable.

i also sent an extreme modified hitachi xbox 360 to microsoft repair and they sent a new xbox console to me with a sammy,just need to flash it now.Did have sticker but could tell it was moved.

Oh man that's sweeet. No more fear! I don't think they really check under the faceplate. But I don't think it's legal, but... who cares?

Seal was broken, i got a new one back (was gone for 3 weeks)(with problems (posted in another thread)), so somebody told me i had to open it to fix it, so i did, i found a Samsung MS28 drive in it, think i'll keep this baby and flash it again

Where is this "sticker" i dont have a modded 360 but from looking at the 360's case i dont see one on the outside anyway... i fail to see how they can tell its been opend unless it breaks a sticker on the inside...

InsaneNutter. The sticker is behind the face plate, pull the face plate off(which will not void your warranty) and you should see it close to the On/Off switch.

My new xbox360 had some kind of second silver seal on the DVD drive, When i tried to lift out the dvd drive i couldn't, looking at it, it was taped with a silver metal tape on to the case. BUT you can easily remove this without leaving residu and place it easily back on it's place after putting back the dvd drive.

In the mean time i already flashed the xbox360 samsung MS28 drive
So, Keeping in mind MS has extended the warranty period for there system, i can always return this when it gets broken

Oh, well I plan on buying a broken xbox 360 from ebay, but then again, I just bought a brand new one too and works fine. I was going to fix the broken one, and/or use for spares, but is it possible I can just send it back to M$ if under a year?? Wow. That seems convinent. I can even use the reciept from my new one. But I'll see about it.

i would try to send it in
you don't even need the recu from your new one you just need to give them the serial number from the broken one

yer same here, sent mine in ( hacked, no sticker) and got a new one sent back in under 9 days... cool..... cheers mr gates lol
