I'm am PRAYING (lol) for it to be fixed....because i have already tried the x-clamp and many other fixes, but i haven't been able to get it to work....i had the red ring 0021 error which seems to be unfixable I REALLLLLYYYY hope the fixed it.

EDIT: on the support site the option to "request repair" is not grayed out anymore.....is this a good sign? (i hope)

P.S. i'm in U.S. and my 360 went to the texas service center

I'm afraid the outlook is very bleek for you, but there's still a small chance it got fixed. After reading this entire thread, it seems that M$ take forever updating the status of repairs. Let us know what happens. Kind of wish I lived in the US. They don't seem to be as picky as the Canadian repair centers.

EDIT: I was baored last night, so I decided to try the "3 penny" trick. Couldn't get it back together with 12 pennies, so I took 1 off of each stack, and BOOM!! 360 is up and running again. I thought that fix was a joke until I tried it.

Sorry to hear that man. The only thing I can think of is ask your parents if there's any extra work around the house you could do to earn some extra money for a new 360. Always worked for me when I was your age. Just don't mod your new one. The penny fix is easy to do.

On xbox's website, what does it say for your warranty status? Just wondering this.

do the xclamp mate instead. Easy to do yourself.

By the wya, what state was your xbox in when yous ent it, did it have the warranty sticker, opening marks, etc.

I get mine back today, and I'm suspecting that they didn't fix it.

Here's what it says on the website.

    Warranty Status: Out of Warranty
    Repair Status: No pending repair
    Warranty Type: Standard

On one I got repaired, for warranty type it says repaired.

If they don't fix it, I guess I'll try the penny fix.

    Read earlier in the thread.

gman- it says out of warranty

the thing that really pisses me off is that i never modded it. I bought it off of ebay and it worked well for a while, then it got the three red rings, so i went to do the xclamp and the previous owner had already did it meaning i couldn't send it in for repair, i did it again anyway though to see if i could make it work....no luck....i have the 0021 error code which is almost impossible to fix....i have heard that sometimes the penny trick works...so maybe i'll try that

YOU didn't mod it, but the PREVIOUS owner opened it to do the x-clamp trick. That's more than likely why they wouldn't fix it. Was the warranty sticker on it when you sent it?

EDIT: Just went back a few posts and seen that the waranty sticker was in fact missing. I find it odd (maybe even hard to believe) that some people have sent in 360's without having the sticker and still getting it fixed.

Looks like they're cracking down now, I haven't seen a single success in these last few pages.

I modded my friends son's Elite, less than 2 months later it failed. I reflashed it and it was sent back to MS. 3 weeks later it was returned, luckily they fixed it.

I just got mine back repaired!

Sent it without a warranty sticker, but I cleaned up the area where it used to be and removed all fingerprints from the part under the faceplate. I sent it in with the faceplate still on.

My xbox was never modded in any way. The reason I had to remove the sticker was because I bought one of those chrome faceplates, and had to remove it because to install the eject button bezel the case had to be slightly opened.

My unit had been repaired once before. So before I sent it in I called xbox and told them that when it was sent in the first time there was some silver sticker on it under the faceplate but this time there wasn't. The guy said since I had never opened it it would not be a problem. I told him to be sure to make a note of the conversation telling me it would not be a problem. He pretty much guaranteed it being fixed.

I also had a new kind of warranty sticker put back on mine:
