My guess would be that the files are not in their proper locations on the card. I had this problem a while ago, but I formatted the card and used the thing I posted and it worked.

Well I tried everything all over again and same results still the same. Let me explain what I'm doing and then maybe you can guide me a little better.
First I set up the pso with all the network settings and all that jazz and get it saved to my mem card. Then I run ctr-gcs thru psul so that it connects and sees my memory card in slot a. then I use a gcos gui and pick restore image and choose the revised teaser image. then I type in the codes to make the AR boot the exploit from mem slot b. Then I select the ar code then open then lid, then close it, then get the black rolling screen. any ideas?
I may be wrong here, but I don't think you need to type in any codes as long as you are using the image posted. The card image should contain the level2 boot loader, level3.dol, and the AR code file with the AR entry already in it. Another thing it may be is that the codes are for US so if you have the EU version AR the codes may be different. So, look under the US codes section for the Action Replay entry and use that.
My images work "out of the box" with no need to add codes (maybe your AR need other codes, don't know) it has as said aAR-Codebase, level2.bin and level3.dol (gcos) on it . i'm using EU version of AR (ver 1.12) and it works great with it -> you have to insert the memcard into slot b by the way
ok I'll try that out when I get home from work. I was just getting confused because I used to use the ar 1.14 hack with the codes. So to use this How do I boot from the AR screen then? I do have my mem card in slot b and I do have a NA ar on a NTSC GC. Thanks
boot AR , choose start game ---> open-> close lid and it should start just fine (i use AR 1.12 but codebase originally is for 1.14 (from one of the old packages with gcos 1.4) so it should be no problem)
Is the image you're restoring to your card an image of the same sized card?
If they are not the same size or are not both official Nintendo memory cards, it probably won't work.
Well I tried to do what you suggested but after opening the lid, it takes me to that scrolling black screen then it boots up the ar again. I can get the raw ar 1.14 to work with the codes but not this one. I'm gonna clear off my Ar card and mem card and try it all over again. It's ok that I'm using a gui prog to transfer over the raw image right? I waited until it's completed. Anyway I'm using a official 59 memory card .
after doing some more testing I see that the ar 1.14 raw image writes back fine to my card but even though the gui for ctr-cgs says it wrote the revisied 2 image it doesn't. I noticed that with the ar image it actually says writing image on the screen when I have ctr-gcs launched. So does anyone else have any ideas why it's not working for me. Can someone tweak the ar 1.14 raw image to included the new gcos in it? I noticed all the ar 1.14 image is is a level3.dol and the datelcod.bin . I know that the level3.dol is gcos 1.4b, could someone try to make this the dol loader menu and the new gcos for me please? thanks
Use the program I posted on the first page. It will write files to your memory card with the menu option or the direct boot into GCOS. Then when you get that working you can write the new teaser to your card like I explained on the first page as well.
I tried the program but I couldn't get that to work. I got it to write the files on a mem card for me and all but still ctr-gcs never would write the revisied image for me. what I ended up doing was putting the ar 1.14 raw hack back onto card, then once in gcos 1.4b2 i used dolstream to send ctr-gcs to the card. Then I took the revisied 2 image and converted it to level3.dol then overwrote it. Now it works when I go to the code screen and pick ar then boot it. I also then converted the install.dol to install.gci and tried to see if i would get the dol menu but it still boots straight to the new gcos. Oh well as long as it works I suppose. thanks![]()
If you really want the menu, I can try to help you using that cardwriter program. it may take some modicfications if you don't have PSO.
yeah, I'd like the menu but I'll fiddle around with it later today. I do got pso. What I did to save time I put my pso stuff on my 1019 card and use my 59 card for this. I don't think you can fit too many gci's and the ar 1.14 hack on a 59 card. I went to add another gci to it and it said no space on the card. Thanks for all your help. Just one more quick question does the new gcos teaser have an audio-fix on the fly? thanks
