Exclamation Retro City Rampage is coming to PS3 and Vita

The amazing retro over-the-top open-world crime game is launching on May this year!

Good news for PS3 and soon (or already) Vita owners, RCR is also releasing on Sony devices. For those who don't know, this is a retro GTA clone, just like the first two games.

Sony has announced that the upcoming VBlank Entertainment game Retro City Rampage is coming to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

Let’s get right to it — Retro City Rampage is coming to PS3 and PS Vita! I couldn’t be more excited to finally share the news. For those not familiar with RCR, it’s an over-the-top open-world crime game that combines everything you loved in classic games and mashes them up into a “toon town” of nostalgia and parody. Steal cars, and then jump on pedestrians for big shiny coins. Collect power-ups and outrun the law while rampaging the city, shooting a light gun or swinging your bionic arm.

Fans of Grand Theft Auto will feel right at home with RCR, but the missions extend far beyond driving and shooting. They fuse classic gaming and modern mechanics to span virtually every genre, from stealth to platforming, adventure, rhythm and more—there are even underwater levels. What I’m most proud of is that everything flows together using the same mechanics and visuals. Even missions inspired by ’80s coin-op games seamlessly take place in the open-world.
This one was announced a few years ago, and it looks like it has been delayed a few times by now. Well, apparently the game is indeed launching on May this year, so seems we won't have to wait a lot.

Remember, this one is also coming to WiiWare, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam.

This game looks amazing, and if you haven't, check the new gameplay trailer below!

I'll probably still get it on Wii, the NES-like controller and low res will suit the game.

God, it's taking forever to get this game though isn't it.
I doubt it'll be released in May, they'll just delay it again and again.

Who are you referring to? You sound very ignorant.
This game has been in development for 10 years now. No one all of a sudden decided this would be cool to do.
Are you referring to Sony? If so, you really think these download games are made by first party devs? They're the complete opposite.
They're indie most of the time. This is an indie game made by just a small few guys.

Even if Sony did make this (which is stupid since it's full of Nintendo characters) why would that mean they "suck at games"?
They're making plenty of "normal" games, how could something as small as this change their status.
Do you really think this is a Sony game? It's coming to the 360 & Wii, as it says in the article.

Are you saying the whole gaming industry "sucks at games now" because of this one game!?
It's just a small silly download game.

And "get people back into old school games"? There's been tonnes of old school games revised this generation. All systems have old games reselling.
There's been new 8bit style games too, it's nothing new.

"suppose to be moving forward" Why would you think this?
New consoles are in development now. Each console has reached it's pinnacle and we're currently enjoying the most of what the consoles have grown to offer. Moving forward? I'd say they're just coasting, there's not much else to be done.

Unless you're referring to the Vita?
And if so, then that's still stupid. This game will run on the Vita's "psn game" emulator and will be a small thing for the platform.
There's dozens of other PSN games from the PS3 that you can get on the Vita, this game is just another one of those.

Please, never again voice your thoughts on the internet. You seem to have a severe lack of intellict and knowledge which you should be ashamed of.

(P.S. The game isn't even old school style.)
