NinjaBee's 'Nutjitsu' and Team17's 'Worms Battlegrounds' will be among the first ID@Xbox titles released.
If you didn't know, ID@Xbox is Microsoft's initiative to enable developers to self-publish games on the Xbox One.
Well, two developers have revealed their indie games that will be among the first ones to be released on the console: Nutjitsu by NinjaBee, and Worms Battlegrounds by Team17 (which also will be released on PS4).
We haven't heard much about which games will be released as a part of the program, but in a tweet last night Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer responded to a follower question about the possibility of Kickstarter projects on Xbox One with detail on what we can expect.
"I think you will with @ID_Xbox," he said. "Played 2 of the first shipping games, a Worms game n Nutjitsu, right before DICE."
Nutjitsu is a free-to-play Windows 8 puzzle game from Ninja Bee, the studio behind A World of Keflings.
Team 17 has confirmed to Eurogamer its plan to self-publish Worms Battlegrounds on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
All we have at this stage is a logo. But Team 17 promised a makeover for next-gen consoles. Additionally, Worms Battlegrounds will be one of the first titles to be self-published on the Xbox One under the ID@Xbox program.
It's due out at some point in 2014.
So, it looks like indie games will start to arrive to the XB1. Other developers greenlit for self-publishing include Double Fine, Slightly Mad Studios and Vlambeer.
