That's right, now that Final Fantasy IV DS has been re-released on iOS, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy V and others will follow soon.

The above pic was spotted in the recent FFIV launch trailer for the Apple iOS devices, and says that “The Final Fantasy mobile revolution begins…”

So, what’s the deal? Are Square going to port an older version of Final Fantasy V to iOS devices? Or is the remake headed straight to iOS instead of being developed for a dedicated gaming portable device first?

A full remake or just a port? We will know for sure in the upcoming months.

Watch the trailer below!
