external hdd help

    i recently bought a seagate free agent 1T external HDD.
    i formatted it to fat32 its about 933gb after formatting.
    when i plug the hdd to my xbox 360 usb port it does not show . it is as if nothing is plugged in

    how can i get my xbox 360 to show my external HDD?

    [FONT=Nimbus Roman No9 L, Times New Roman, serif]You can connect external hard disk with another port in xbox 360 and then you can check that your hard disk working or nor. If then hard disk not working then you can reinstall your usb driver and then check it.[/FONT]

    i wanted to use my xbox 360 as a media player
    as it turns out fat32 has a size limit alot less than 933gb. i tried to format the hdd to the mac partition, that failed too.
    i ended up just buying a wdtv live . i figured out that i have to convert and break the files into dvdr size in order to get the xbox to play the video
    xbox requires too much work
