George Osborne scraps tax relief proposals for UK video games developers

    UK video games developers and publishers received a body-blow today after the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that the Coalition Government was scrapping tax relief proposals for the industry.

    The planned tax breaks were first unveiled by Alistair Darling in the Labour government's last Budget in March. In his emergency budget report today, George Osborne described the proposals as "poorly targeted".
