With The NES Classic Edition Discontinued, Hyperkin Is Doing What Nintendoesn't

Hyperkin wants to pick up where NES Classic Edition left off with the Retron HD, a new console that plays 8-bit classics from Nintendo's home system.

With Nintendo stopping production of the NES Mini, the love of Retro NES is not gone there is still many wishing they had one, as such companies like Hyperkin are jumping into the Console Mini battleground and releasing their own NES Mini, the only problem is this one does not come with 30 pre-programmed classic games to enjoy, instead you must hunt down some original NES cartridges.
Of course you could slip in Everdrive Flashcart and enjoy all the games, or just build your own using a Raspberry PI, but its still a nice option to have available for Retro Gamers out there that just want a fast plug&play solution to enjoy playing the games they love! :)

Comparisons to the nes mini are flawed because it doesnt include the built in games.

You would need an everdrive to get close which then imo doesnt make it a 'plug and play' which the nes mini was and trying to hunt the down the games legitimately can get expensive.

That said, it may still be useful for people who want it just for the built in hdmi upscaler.
