Iran is moving ahead with their plans of a 'national intranet': an insular nation-wide intranet that is isolated from the regular Internet, and will be heavily regulated by the government....

This surely will be a really bizarre move by Iran, as it looks like they have a plan to create their own “clean” Internet, which will be isolated from the regular Internet and it will be heavily regulated by the government...

Seems this will be one of the "most ambitious effort yet by any government to censor the Internet."

There's no date on when this 'National Network' will launch over there. Looks like, this one has been “frequently announced and always postponed” due to frequent deployment delays.
