      Has your phone NFC support? Have you tried another NFC tag to make sure your NFC is working?

      personally i would prefer to not have the lock/unlock feature because its temperamental.

      i would make note to users using the old version to unlock their device and leave it, then remove the old version and replace with the new.

      Problem as you can read in some threads here is, that changing banks only works in locked mode (or unlocked using the app to change banks). So if people really want to use the button since they only cycle though their setup banks, that's still the best way. Even if unlocking again is fiddly but done on a not so regular basis. So best is to hope that using the button works in unlocked mode (may need FW update) or that unlocking gets improved to work stable.

      Changing banks works 100% for me when unlocked. Both of my devices are first and second batch (had amiiqo written on them) maybe later batches don't work that way.

      Really? I have a second batch one. And I can only change the bank a single time after unlocking. Afterwards it just stays. I only tried it with N2 app yesterday looking at the active bank shown. I think when really using it with the consoles, it sometimes changes (maybe when banks are read?). Haven't looked into it completely.

      ideally its best to never lock the device, if you had an old app version and locked it, use it to unlock then update the app and keep the tag unlocked.

      then use your mobile app to switch/activate banks and avoid using the button because so many also seem to have issues with it.

      the app is far easier because it visually helps identify what each bank has set.

      @gary

      Can app update posts be new posts, all of the above are issues relating to older versions of the app.

      Tho locking/unlocking is still problematic in the new version, other issues (above) would related to 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2 (if this makes sense)

      Just wondering... will there be a feature to get the bin file from the N2Elite back to the android device? Since for example for Splatoon 2 we need to register our name to the amiibo before we can do it, so after we did all of that can we saved that bin file somewhere so if I happen to remove the amiibo file in the N2 and need to re-set it those info will still be there and I wont have to set it up again?

      That's already possible. Just long-press a bank and choose backup.

      I get "ERROR: Unsupported NFC tag found!". Android: 4.4.4, device Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo/Duos (GT-I9300I). Tried v2.06 and v2.05. NFC works with other tags. This what I get when I scan N2 with NFC Tools

      Honestly, I have two big announces with the N2 app, the same annoyances that have been there since it replaced the Amiibits app:

      1. There are no options available anywhere at all until you scan an Amiibo or N2 device. If I want to quickly enter the app to change a setting such as WiFi-only downloads or the dump folder, I need to scan an Amiibo in first before even the settings button appears. The other buttons I understand, since they are useless without an Amiibo/N2, but why must settings be hidden until you scan something in first?

      2. It forces you to choose a dump/restore folder in /sdcard. On nearly any modern Android phone nowadays, /sdcard is actually mounted to an emulated internal storage and is NOT the actual sdcard, so by forcing me to choose a folder in /sdcard and not letting me go anywhere else so I can navigate to my actual sdcard, it's actually forcing me to use my internal memory and locking me out of my actual sdcard.
