I have installed N2elite usb manager 2.0 on my windows machine and although the app is working well with my usb scanner, I can't get it to display any figures. A question mark shows up for all amiibos in all banks, even with genuine amiibos. What am I doing wrong?

Also, is there no longer a need to lock my n2 elite to use it in my console. I cannot find a lock button as I used to have on my 1.1 version of the app. Also, if the tag is locked in the previous version of the app, the new version won't recognise it as an n2elite tag but rather as a regular NFC tag.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot !!!

Where have you extracted it to? I tried it with a folder at desktop and it works for me.

There was never a need to lock the tag and the new manual also states that. It was a feature meant to help disguising the tag more and let it look like it is a real Amiibo. But unless Nintendo is taking any actions and since it is very hard to unlock, locking is removed to avoid people getting stuck. Android still allows it showing a warning, the PC app has it completely removed since unlocking is working very unreliable even with the old one. You can use the old version (https://nfc-bank.com/bins.php?do=download&downloadid=731) or android to unlock your tag and keep it unlocked afterwards!

We get errors when trying to run N2eliteManager.exe via mono on MacOS.

      Mono is installed.

When testing the applications using the test on this page -http://www.mono-project.com/docs/getting-started/mono-basics/ we get the following:

The Console Application Test works great.

      MYMAC1:desktop admin$ mcs hello.cs
      MYMAC1:desktop admin$ mono hello.exe
      Hello Mono World

The WinForms Application Test works great.

      MYMAC1:desktop admin$ mcs hellofrm.cs -pkg:dotnet
      MYMAC1:desktop admin$ mono hellofrm.exe

      The form launches without incident.

The GTK# Application Test works great.

      MYMAC1:desktop admin$ mcs gtkapp.cs -pkg:gtk-sharp-2.0
      MYMAC1:desktop admin$ mono gtkapp.exe
2017-07-29 12:28:41.998 mono[1829:465697] *** WARNING: Method userSpaceScaleFactorin class NSView is deprecated on 10.7 and later. It should not be used in new applications. Use convertRectToBacking: instead.

      The form launches without incident.

However, when I run the N2EliteManager.exe – it errors out due to an unhandled exception as shown below

      MYMAC1:desktop admin$ mono N2EliteManager.exe

I am not the only one getting this error or experiencing this problem.

      Please advise.

I also tested it on a cleanly set up MacOS 10.10.5 system that has nothing on it except for MacOS Operating System and MONO and the same problem I described above happens there too.

Thanks for the report. This is a known bug which will be resolved with 2.0.1 which will be released soon. That still has some remaining problems with Mac that the team hopes to resolve soon.

Did you ever figure out how to get rid of the question marks in the Windows client?

For most of the people, the problem went away by using another folder (like desktop or my documents) and making sure to use the latest version.
