New tests proved it is similar than other tablets on the market, including Android ones.

As we speculated for past experiences, those overheating reports about the new iPad were a bit exaggerated because it were done comparing with the iPad 2 and not with the rest of the tablets on the market.

A new study, carried out by PC world, used several tablets comparing the heat they generate in a variety of situations such as plugged in, on battery power an so on. The full report could be seen on the link below.

The conclusion is that the new iPad is not so hot, the previous reports stated and it is on par with other tablets such as the Asus's Transformer Prime and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
