    IDC has released simple tools on GITHub to rip apart those nice PUP update files released by Sony for your PS4 console!

    Finally, we can start to look deeper into how the PlayStation 4 console upgrades its firmware, with this handy new tools by IDC!

    Have you ever wanted to see what is inside the PUP update file for the PlayStation 4 console, well now you can thanks to this new tools recently released on GITHub by scene developer 'IDC', we can now take a peek into the insides of the PS4 firmware upgrade packages.

    pup_decrypt
    pup_unpack
    For more info, and to grab them, check out the official GITHub links below, and stay tuned I am sure some other scene developers will now fill us in on what they have found useful thanks to this handy-dandy tools being made for all to enjoy looking at the PS4 PUP's. :)

      Makes you wonder if they'll end up finding the Master Key again... I wonder if that poor sap is still alive...

      Geohot is still around, sadly he will not touch an Sony product again, due to the court agreement.

      Currently, he been into self-driving cars, he was offered a job at Telsa but turned it down when they changed the agreement on him right on his birthday also. -- So then he build his own auto-pilot system, was planning on selling it, but got shutdown by the federal govt. over safely rules, so now you can download the plans yourself and build it in your own garage if you trust your car to drive using geohot coding skills!
