ps3 data to another ps3

    has anyone tryd the ps3 data transfer say with downloaded psn games on it to another ps3 useing the ethernet way. but first used the backup and restore way first. to save data on external usb hd. then do the ethernet data transfer to another ps3 then restore the ps3 that sent the data useing backup restore dose this work

    If you're using the ethernet method you don't need to use backup/restore.. what id do is simply backup all your saves to a usb drive and then use an ethernet cable for transfer.

    *edit* ah i see what you mean, if you're looking to restore the content on the original PS3 you may as well just sign in with the new PS3 on your existing PSN account and download everything you've bought from the store using another of the 5 content activations.. but that will mean only one console can be signed in to use the content at a time.
