RESOLVED: Buying Gamecube with Qoob Pro chip?

    Anyone have a Qoob Pro available?My current unit is going bad. Had it installed for going on 12 years! Not bad!

    You sure its not the 'gamecube' going bad..

    I normally see 'modchips' outlast the hardware they are solder into! :)

    I suggest resoldering the chip just to be sure.

    Then testing the system without the Qoob, to see how it behaves.

    And try installing it into a 'less-used' GC. :)

    I've tested the chip on two systems now. Ive built modded systems for over 15 years now, rebuilt this build a few times and the system boots briefly, then immediate powers off. It allows power to boot , does its thing then pushes a chaotic screen output. The connections are super clean/new wires. I have two Qoob SX that work just fine with the same systems.
