Major factor for NES mini discontinuation.

Nintendo will follow up its smash hit NES microconsole with a mini version of the SNES, sources close to the company have confirmed to Eurogamer.

The world of Retro Gaming was crying last week, when Nintendo announced that they are no longer going to ship out any more NES Mini consoles, leaving fans scrambling to grab one at highway robbery eBay prices which have spiked to over $600 for one now, but there is good news this morning as rumors have been confirmed by sources to EuroGamer, that big 'N' is planning to do a SNES Mini this Holiday.
But will Nintendo do the 'same low shipments' of SNES Mini, making it again the must-have Retro rebirth console this Holiday?

And they'll finally ship more units this time, estimated to be about....20 world wide. Yeah, I know, like "Wow so many!" This time everybody will be able to find one. /s

If you understand the Air Jordans retros strategy, you will understand what Nintendo is doing here. Just like the Air Jordan release cycle, there will be a Nintendo release cycle. I predict that the Nes Classic will return after they release snes classic, n64 classic, gamecube classic, wii classic, wiiU classic. They want people to wait on lines all night and shoot each over these console releases.

Nah, nes classic is done. They've done this with a lot of other things and pretty much never restocked them after one or two runs despite everybody complaining about not being able to get one. Nintendo doesn't give a shit, because there's no difference to them if a unit is sold to a scalper or to a loyal customer. And so it doesn't even matter if they did another run now, because another run would be the same as the last one, small and sold almost exclusively to scalpers.
