The owner installed an anti-theft application, but looks like that wasn't enough to get his device back.

We all know you can install certain apps in order to track the location of certain modern devices using iOS and Android. Well, looks like if your device is stolen in Netherlands and you are able to track the burglar's location, authorities of that country won't give green light to perform a search.

Well, too bad... looks like the app wasn't helpful for him afterall. Could this happen in other countries too?

It was enough for the FBI with the iPhone prototype wasn't it?

To hell with that. If my **** got stolen and I knew where it was, I'd be loading a shotgun and gettin' me some private justice.
