    Cobra ODE SWAP Disc Tutorial For 3000 and 2500 Series

    Hi everybody, I discovered a way to SWAP disc for 3000 and 2500 series. Actually this method valid for all Fat and Slim PS3 models, I only explained for 3000 series in this video tutorial. Same logic is valid for fat models.

    The method is a little looking principles but I'm sure it will be loved and useful for many people.

    Need some tools for this work:
    * Soldering
    * Some wires
    * Automatic DPDT switch (toggle switch)
    * 7586 voltage regulator (no need anymore because you can use th voltage directly from main board of PS3. Please follow the sub messages, many friends shared theier experience)
    * A little skill, no need to be a super hero :)

    Info:
    * Used 3004B Model
    * Firmware (OFW): 4.60
    * Cobra ODE Version: 5.10B
    * Cobra ODE Firmware: 2.1

    Attention: I don't allow any responsibilty if you damage or harm your console.

    Note: I blocked the youtube video because many friend shared their experince in this topic. Please read the all messages. They are more useful my own method. Thanks your interests.

    PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEO TUTORIAL

    EDIT:

    After DPDT switch installation please read this file for creating the SWAP disc and error solutions: http://www.team-cobra-ode.com/downloads/Anti-ODE_Security_Bypass_Manual_(English)_v1.2.pdf

    If you get errors launching the games not interested with my method because my method only interested with mechanism, it's only for sending the disc into the PS3 and ejecting.

    If you get errors like 80010017 or FFFFFF please search the existing topics, all the offers and solutions are in the maxconsole.com.

    Wow unbelievable you found a way. The theory is so simple. But seems a bit to risky for me to do it.

    Edit: but searching the components now :D

    Thank you Alzaabi, this was a kind of hobby. Normally I had thought this method when released 4.60 OFW but I couldn't give my time.

    Cobra team sometimes be late to release products, maybe impatient users prefer this method.

    Thank you so much.

    Great find khalkedon!!
    I'm sure lot's of people with good DIY skills are able to use their consoles again thanks to you. =-)

    Although the DMC is a easier method probably, but we don't know for sure yet.

    I really can't find that voltage regulator. But any voltage regulator, regulating down to 3.3v would do it, wouldn't it?

    I told to my supplier what I need to dump the voltage to 3v and he offered me 7586 voltage regulator, if you couldn't find 7586 you can try offers from your supplier.

    This method useful all released OFW so far (support 4.65).

    I had tried 1.5v and it was very weak. I offer 2 batteries, it gives 3v and it's the best voltage.

    But looking very ugly and you can be late even you may stuck in the middle of process. I don't offer so manuel work.
