This is a project to hack 'previously owned game consoles in an effort to dig up 'foreign' gamers' online chat room information and other stored data'.

According to website LiveScience, the US Military is trying to fund a project in order to hack previously owned game consoles and dig up gamers' online chat room information and other stored data. Well, according to the article, they won't be targeting "U.S. persons" but consoles used in overseas markets.

And, seems they won't hold any secrets on this so called 'hacking project' as they are going to publish the results at conferences and academic journals.

Weird form of tracking terrorists and enemies?
