Only iPhone 4S and new iPad will benefit from all the new features

Apple has limited the functionalities of iOS 6 on some devices so it is possible that you can't enjoy them on your device

If you look at the picture above, courtesy of MacRumors, you notice that not all the introduced new features of iOS 6 will be available for all the devices that supports it (iPad 1 and iPod Touch 3rd gen can't even be updated to iOS 6).

For example, 3D flyover and turn-by-tuns directions on the new Maps app won't be available on the iPhone 4.

It is not clear that if this is a marketing strategy to sell new hardware or a real performance thing on those older devices can't really handle it or do so very badly.
