We've managed to get our hands on a leaked video from the ZooZen R&D team which shows the development of a stunning Xbox 360 case. The 'Overcase' simply fits on via the front front face plate and instantly transforms the 360 into a far more attractive living room proposition. It also features extra cooling via 2 fans and an auto-sensing blue disc light effect.

EA has revealed a belief that the Wii is 'confounding' people as it is so big and successful. These comments come after thoughts that people are still 'grapping' with the Wii after the poor performance of titles such as Dead Space and Madden on the Wii.

He then defended EA's own Wii failures, noting that publishers (EA included) are still figuring the system out. "I think it's also fair to say that people are still grappling with it. I think Dead Space Extraction was one of the best pieces of software built on the platform and it did not perform well. It's a strong IP but for some reason it did not resonate in a way that brought consumers to the store to buy it. And Madden hasn't performed to my expectations so far this year, even though it's a fabulous piece of software. EA Sports Active and our Hasbro stuff have done really, really well. So you start to create a certain perception in your mind of the type of consumer that works on the Wii, that's a little...

A developer has asserted that consumers have suffered a lot when it comes to the Wii, because they have damaged by large amounts of substandard software. This has resulted in them only trusting the 'big' Nintendo brands.

Unfortunately, Prytherch asserts, consumers have suffered most. He said that they "have been damaged by a lot of substandard software," which has caused them to "only trust big Nintendo brands."

Those are some awfully strong words from a developer that has so far failed to attract the kind of market attention larger companies Ubisoft or Electronic Arts have. But he's not alone in his belief that Wii gamers aren't attracted to third-party games.

This seems more up Datel's street than Logitech's street, but apparently the latter company is developing a UMD drive add-on for the PSP GO. Now that is one interesting rumor!

Logitech UK claim to have never heard of such a peripheral, but concede that the PSP Go UMD drive “may be something the US office is working onâ€. Their US counterparts – and indeed Sony – are yet to comment. No word on pricing or availability from the source, and it seems bizarre that people might pick up the PSP Go and then have second-thoughts about the UMD drive from the full-sized PSP; surely if you had a back catalog of titles you still wanted to be able to play, you’d just buy the PSP-3000?

Microsoft will run a new advert during the X Factor Final which will feature none other than Lily Allen. The purpose of the new advert is to promote Lips: No. 1 Hits.

Microsoft’s Xbox has teamed up with Global Radio and Lily Allen to produce a new ad for the game “Lips: No. 1 Hitsâ€.

The ad, which will break during the live X Factor final, will be based on footage taken from a nationwide Global Radio bus tour seeking participants to take part in the creation of a reworked single and music video for Lily Allen’s record, “The Fearâ€. It is part of a deal brokered by Universal McCann London.

During the tour, thousands of people were recorded playing the new Xbox game by singing “The Fear†whilst being filmed. Footage will be used to create the TV commercial and a music video for the song, which will be released by EMI into the download charts.

New reports denote that Universal is set to roll out a dual Blu-ray/DVD disc which holds a Blu-ray film on one side and a 9GB DVD version on the other.

The technology allows a single disc to offer a 50GB Blu-Ray version of a film on one side, and a 9GB DVD version on the other. It’s a plan by Universal (and most likely the rest of the Blu-Ray Consortium) to increase the adoption of Blu-Ray HD films by giving consumers the option to future-proof their content.

One of the key components in Sony’s PlayStation 3 is its Blu-Ray drive, offering gamers a chance to experience high definition movies. If the Flipper discs prove to be a popular format, it could help cement the PS3 as the home entertainment console of choice.

The first dual-format Flipper discs are due to go on sale on 19th January 2010 in the US, with the very first product being the Jason Bourne trilogy, a box set containing The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. No...

Ubisoft has let slip that it will have around 10 games ready to hit Project Natal during its early months of release. Moreover, they also revealed that they will have around half that number of titles compatible with the new Playstation motion controller.

When new motion control technologies launch for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3, Ubisoft will be ready with a significant slate of titles.

CEO Yves Guillemot revealed the publisher's preparations for new input devices today on Ubisoft's fiscal first half results call to investors, and said the company's prepping almost double the number of games for Project Natal as it is for Sony's orb-topped, yet-unnamed motion wand.

"We have around 10 games that will come for Natal during the first six months of the launch of Natal, and we expect between four to five games for the new controller [from] Sony," said Guillemot.

Another day and another Xbox LIVE ban. But this time it is to a pair of lesbians. However, while the pair are shocked, it is unsurprising that they received these bans are their profile under bio stated 'lesbians from way back'.

I am so infuriated right now I had to vent somewhere. My girlfriend and I share an Xbox Live account. Today I received an email stating our account was suspended for inappropriate content in our profile. Our gamer tag is ShayHolly - not offense. In our profile under bio it says "lesbians from way back" - apparently offensive? My blood started boiling instantly. I was on the phone with Xbox customer support for hours and got absolutely no where. It is only suspended until tomorrow, but I don't care if they suspended it for only an hour, it is ridiculous.

Good news all budding Xbox 360 homebrew players. FreeBoot v0.2 is out and with it comes the ability to make homebrew XDK possible on retail Xbox 360''s as it rids of signature checks and hard-disk authentication. Since the two games are already free with the purchase of a qualifying Xbox 360; someone managing the site may have missed the checkout glitch that allows you to increase the quantity without increasing the purchase price(For the games only). According to reports, a number of users have had success in dumping the complete firmware of the previously 'un moddabke' LITEON drives. The method is very technical, but will potentially provide MS with another head-ache as it is possible that these drives can now be flashed as well.

There have been several news reports on Xboxhacker.net of users having success in dumping the entire firmware including the important keys of the newest un-moddable Liteon DVD drives. The methods posted so far are not for the beginner so do so at your own risk. The method seem crude at the moment, no doubt some easier methods will surface shortly. The Royal Navy sailors in the UK are being issued with PSPs in order to help them with their training. Apparently, the PSP units come preloaded with slides and commentary which are about 8-12 minutes per training session.

While the US builds PS3-based grids for cracking passwords, the UK is buying Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) units and issuing them to Royal Navy sailors for use in training. The units come preloaded with study packages of slides and commentary and are about 8-12 minutes per session.

The first to receive the devices are marine warfare engineering technicians, who maintain the fleet’s radar, sonar, VHF radio and communications systems. If the PSPs are a success, their distribution could be widened throughout the Navy, starting with air and marine engineers but potentially to many other disciplines.

According to The Telegraph, Microsofts strategy of charging for all content on XBOX LIVE has delayed the launch of iPlayer on the 360. It seems as if MS can not find a deal with the BBC based on their desire for the dollars.

According to sources close to the BBC’s Future Media and Technology department, a deal between the two parties has still been unable to be reached because Microsoft’s strategy of charging for all content on its Xbox Live platform is incompatible with the BBC’s public service remit.

“Microsoft only wants to offer its users access to platforms it can charge for as this is the model it is pursuing. It wants to ensure that only those paying for Xbox Live Gold accounts can access its additional content services and even then there is usually a charge on top to get access to those. For example, to access the Sky Player on Xbox, you have to pay for a Gold subscription as well as a Sky subscription,†explained one of the sources close to the...
