PS Vita dev Yifan Lu has shared more info on his upcoming Usermode PS Vita Loader, including his progress so far and plans for the future.

If you didn't know, a few months ago PS Vita dev 'Yifan Lu' revealed info on an upcoming 'Usermode Vita Loader' or 'UVloader', which would allow everyone to run native code on Sony's newest handheld.

Now, after a long time, he has shared his progress on it so far. According to him, right now "it's more important to use this exploit to gather more information about the system in order to find more exploits and such than it is to run homebrews..." Why is that? Because a lack of an SDK to build homebrews.

A-Z subfolders, 'clean install' option and more!



SubJunk has released another major update to UMS, adding many additions and improvements since the last release.

Universal Media Server (UMS) by 'SubJunk' is a multi-platform UPnP Media Server based on PS3 Media Server by shagrath. Its is available on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, and both the PlayStation 3 and the XBOX 360 (along many other devices) are supported by it.

The newest v2.2.0 is a major update, and adds A-Z subfolders, "clean install" option to installer, improves DTS support, improves seeking and transcoding stability, improves audio sync, improves multithreading, and a lot more!

DarkGiovy has released another update for his PS3 EBOOT fixer for 3.55 CFW, adding many new options and improvements.

The DarkEboot Fixer by 'DarkGiovy', is a Windows tool that allows you to fix your PlayStation 3 EBOOTs for 3.55 CFW.

The just released v5.5 includes the feature to extract any pkg without PKGView, along with many additions related to the encryption/decryption of SDAT.

However, no sound yet.



Frostegater has released a PSX Add-on for the eCFW TN-C, allowing you to run PS1 games on your PS Vita, but without sound.

Frostegater, via The_Z, has released a PSX Add-on for the eCFW TN-C on the PS Vita, originally developed by Coldbird.

Sadly, as the old original release, its still buggy and has NO SOUND, but apparently it can run many games at full speed.

Tecmo Koei has just announced that DOA 5 Plus will arrive to Europe on March 22, 2013.

Tecmo Koei is proud to announce that the European release date of Dead or Alive 5 Plus on Playstation Vita is March 22, 2013.

There's no release date announced for the US yet.

Kotaku has asked to many publishers if their Q1/Q2 games are coming to the Wii U. Most of them responded: NO!

Gaming media site Kotaku has been checking in on the Wii U status of several major multiplatform games, all of which are slated for the first half of 2013.

They've asked to many publishers, and it seems just a very few of the top multiplatform games for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are slated for Nintendo's HD console.

A Nintendo Land producer has explained why the company decided not to include online multiplayer in their Wii U launch title Nintendo Land.

As you may know, Nintendo Land is a launch title for the Wii U, and features 12 different minigames based on various Nintendo franchises.

That's right, the game lacks any Online multiplayer functionality. Famistu asked the producer Katsuya Eguchi the reason of that, and he responded the following:

To be released on January 29, 2013 for $39.99?



It looks like the rumors could be true after all, as the 'Hitman HD Trilogy' has now been spotted on Amazon, with a release date set for next month.

Amazon has revealed the new $40 'Hitman HD Trilogy' bundle that will include Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money, due for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 29, 2013.

Apparently, a Premium Edition will also be available, and will include an artbook with 22 pieces of never-before-seen reimaginings of moments from the three games. This bundle is listed also at $40.

Square Enix has released Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy for the Apple iOS devices, and its now available on the New Zealand app store (more likely to follow) as a free download with paid song downloads.

That's right, Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy (originally released on the Nintendo 3DS) is headed to iOS devices.

The game has been listed on the iTunes App Store in New Zealand, so it should be also available this week for the rest of the world.

The game is a free download, but of course, you will be required to purchase songs and characters to play with.

Samsung is exploiting the recent Apple Maps problems in Australia to create a new 'funny' promotional display...

As you may know, Apple's issues with its iOS 6 Apple Maps haven't ended, as this week the Australian police warned motorists to be careful when using the app for following directions.

Well, today Samsung has targeted these issues with a new funny Promotional Display, showing off its own maps app, along a muddy SUV besides a tent and other camping equipment, with the words "Oops, Should have got a Samsung Galaxy SIII..."

Finally! The so desired Google Maps App has landed on the App Store for all the iUsers to rejoice. If you remember, when iOS 6 was launched, the stock and obsolete Maps (and the Youtube one) App was replaced by the propietary Apple Maps and its well reported problems. Google said it was working on a new App that will be a million times better, just like as the Android phones had for long time.

Now, that time has come and the App is available to all for free and brings a superb interface with flyover options, turn by turn navigation, streetview and much more.
