After being sued for not including 1943 on the PS3 disc, EA been forced to offer a free PS3 download

Claiming it was all a 'misunderstanding' EA now says you be able to use your 'one-time' online code to get your 'digital-version' of 1943, of course that still screws those buying the game disc used!

Arrogant as ever EA are trying to spin their criminal failure to provide 'Battlefield 1943' on the 'Battlefield 3' disc to all PS3 owners as a "misunderstanding" and in a desperate attempt to shut down the lawsuit that will cost them millions to manufacture and distribute a disc based copy of BF3 to EVERY PS3 buyer both new and pre-owned (since it was supposed to be on disc) they have decided to give the game away as a download which will cost them almost nothing once you jump through all their hoops.

To get this "free" copy of BF3 you will...

Game Group's share price nose dives

UK video game mega-chain Game Group is worth 90 per cent less today than a year ago. Game's shares today cost around 6 pence. A year ago, they cost around 71 pence.

Shares in UK retailer GAME have dropped from a value of £261.46 million 12 months ago to £22.58 million today.

Often compared to GAMESTOP (aka) 'EB Games' in America the 'Game Group' are best known for ill-informed staff continually pushing pre-orders and low buyback prices along with way overpriced pre-owned titles, they have recently become known for being at the leading edge of the giving back by removing content for pre-orders scam in an attempt to get customers to buy from them.

Obviously part of this loss is due to the economic climate and part due to the consumer backlash against online passes and other such money grabbing tactics...

Big Fish Sells Subscriptions to Its Games on the iPad

Apple Inc. is letting a video-game company offer its titles by subscription on the iPad, expanding the role of a feature typically used by magazine and newspaper publishers.

After the Online Pass and content removed for DLC many people warned that it wouldn't be long before a gaming company decided to charge a monthly subscription to play a game, most (including me) suspected the culprit would be EA, Sony, UBI or Warners however the first company to allow this is Apple and the first publisher to do this is Big Fish Games, for $4.99 a month rising to $6.99 a month early next year gamers will be able to play their games whenever they are connected to the internet (yes, even single player)!

First details revealed about new Apple Lineup

Expect body changes for the next iPad, iPhone, and MacBook Pro. Here’s what we’ve heard

(1) The third-generation iPad will become modestly thicker (0.7mm) in order to accommodate the twin light bar system needed for its higher-resolution display. It’s currently on track for a March timeframe release, and according to our source could be publicly shown as early as January, depending on conditions.

(2) Our source says that the next-generation iPhone will not look like the teardrop-shaped version that was widely rumored for release in 2011. We’ve been told that the device will have a 4-inch display and will be 8mm longer than before, with a metal casing (probably aluminum). It is on track to be introduced in summer of 2012, and is still in the engineering phase, not early production. We suspect that poor...

This year has been wrought with so-called “Facebook phones” popping up all along the way

This year has been wrought with so-called “Facebook phones” popping up all along the way and ultimately, only giving its users a colorful designated button, a few easy sharing features…

Facebook itself has served as a mere collaborator in these unimpressive efforts that came with silly monikers like Cha Cha, Salsa and Status to name a few. But now, in an effort to create a better, more “deeply social” device, Facebook has chosen HTC (even over manufactures such as Samsung), as its partner in the development of what will be the “real” Facebook phone, code-named, “Buffy”.

Yes, that’s right, named after the TV show and film character. Regarding the company’s mobile strategy, a spokesman recently told AllThingsD:

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: December 7th, 2011 - Part 3

Meanwhile back in the 'inner' Drama Circle Of Developers, KaKARoTo has confirmed that his 'kind-of Jailbreak' will still work on the latest v4.00 firmware released last week by Sony!

BUT

It all depends on 'key' information to be share outside the 'inner' circle of Elite Developers, so again KaKaRoTo has caused a new 'Twitter' war and bunch of more 'Scene Drama' between users!

As such this THREAD REMAINS CLOSED until what time this 'kind of Jailbreak' ever gets released in working order, until then it is basically a private-one-man-proof-of-possible-jailbreak-of-the-future!
