Microsoft’s Xbox revenue declined 5% last quarter despite winning some U.S. market share from Sony

Microsoft published its latest earnings report today, beating analyst expectations and reporting revenue growth in all of its divisions -- except the one which houses its Xbox games business.

Microsoft overall as corporation together is doing well, but when you rip open their Xbox figures, it does not look so good, even tho they were able to win the last 3 months of console sales in America, their overall Xbox Division is slipping downwards revenue-wise.

What is Retro, is New Again, and as such Phil wants Original Xbox running on their new Xbox One

The Xbox One has very few advantages over its main rival the PS4, but one key area where Microsoft has outdone Sony is backwards compatibility. Slowly but surely Microsoft has been unlocking the Xbox 360’s huge library of games and allowing the original discs to play when inserted into the Xbox One.

The return of the original big black/green box that started it all, the XBOX might soon be making an comeback in some form of virtual emulator or backwards compatible setup similar to how Microsoft been adding games from their Xbox 360 library to Xbox One store.

If X marks the spot, that spot sure isn't Japan

You know how Japanese games have 'O' and 'X' swapped on PlayStation? For those not already aware, in Japan 'O' is the universal symbol of "correct" or "affirmative" whereas 'X' is the opposite, conveying a sense of "wrong" or "negative."

So the letter 'X' is the reason why Xbox does not sell well in Japan, that maybe so, but lets hear from Phil on what the reasons are!

Xbox One is finally living up to its namesake, its Number One in sales yet again!

Microsoft's Xbox One sales appear to be picking up in the US. Xbox One was the top-selling console in the US during July, August, and September, according to the NPD group.

The Xbox One looks like it might be the turtle that won the race, its was off to slow start, with the Rabbit (Sony) jumping leaps and bounds ahead of its slow sales, but now the tide has turned in the next-gen console war, thanks in part to Microsoft releasing an Slimmer Xbox One which also includes an 4K physical blu-ray disc player, something that Sony still not going to do with their upcoming PS4 PRO unit which comes in November, but by then Microsoft just might have caught up to Sony in overall lifetime console sales.

No, Respawn is not calling Xbox One discs ugly!

Over the weekend, Titanfall 2 designer Drew McCoy marked a milestone: Production on the action game has wrapped, as evidenced by the disc copy of the game that he tweeted.

Nothing like a single Tweet to cause a huge console war between fanboys of Xbox and PlayStation when the developer only tweeted out a picture of the upcoming PS4 version of TitanFall 2 without mentioning the Xbox One version, and then later saying the 'green discs' are ugly, which just increased the ongoing console war between the Xbots and Ponies.

Even Microsoft knows that the days of gaming on their Xbox Console is numbered and its death is coming fast!

Throughout the history of gaming, the fortunes of PC and consoles has often fluctuated . In recent years PC has gone from strength to strength, to even further strength, and Microsoft agrees. Microsoft’s *deep breath* senior director of product management and planning, Albert Penello, has said we’re at “the point where PCs have eclipsed consoles”.

On a side-note, the picture for this news story is perfect, today is September 30th, the rise of the Black Moon, and some fear its the 'start of the end of the world', so perfect timing to publish a news story about the coming 'end of the consoles era'. :)

Microsoft might be busy working on their Xbox Scorpio console for next year's release, but in reality the world of PC Gaming is fast again becoming the 'master race', and consoles as we...

Suggests It May Not be Above $600

"I wouldn't get people worried that this thing is going to be unlike any console price you've ever seen.", but Xbox boss Phil Spencer said in a new interview with WinBeta that the console is a "premium product," so you can expect it will not be cheap.

Alot of info been released on the Xbox Scorpio by Microsoft, from its specs. to its release date to its games, but one thing that is still open to speculation is how much is the 'most powerful console ever' going to cost us gamers when we line up by millions next holiday season to buy one, but now main top dog at Xbox has at least lowered our pricing fears, that it will not be as bad as the PS3 $600 pricetag, that Sony joked about 'just get a second job' if you can't afford one when it was launch all those many years ago.

Man destroys Xbox in shop because he went 3-0 down

EA Sports FIFA 17 was only released yesterday, but this guy's first game didn't go well - and the smashed Xbox One controller and stepped-on console in his local Game-On shop proves it.

People love to try out new games when they arrive at their local video games store, but this one gamer could not handle being so quickly beaten in the new FIFA '17 game on the Xbox One, by the store's owner, and in the end an destoried Xbox One was the prize the customer left behind for the owner to clean-up, before stomping out of the store upset and mad.
