Games can be delayed, games can get cancelled, games can even come out early; it's just the nature of the industry. Usually, the gaming industry follows multi-year development cycles after all games are hard to develop. Creating a truly great game takes a lot of time but fans have been looking forward to the following titles free slot games for quite a while. 2019 is loaded with highly-anticipated games, but there is plenty to look forward to in 2020.

From a classic game remake that's been requested for decades to a gorgeous new open-world franchise, these are the four biggest games scheduled to arrive in the year 2020.

    Watch Dogs: Legion

Ubisoft's Watch Dogs franchise has always been wildly ambitious, but it has also struggled to live up to its lofty goals. As a result, you can understand why some people are sceptical of Watch Dogs: Legion's big hook. Ubisoft claims that the game will let you recruit and play as any person in Legion's dystopian take on post-Brexit London, with the storyline adjusting accordingly. Maybe that's too good to be true, but so far it looks like Watch Dogs: Legion will live up to the hype. Hands-on reports say that identifying and recruiting agents is just as fun as it sounds. Ubisoft knows how to make open-world games, and Watch Dogs 2 was a big step forward, so stay cautiously optimistic. If this game works, it could be 2020's most impressive game.

    Dual Universe

Dual Universe is said to be a crossroads between EVE Online, No Man's Sky, and Minecraft — a mixture of sci-fi community-building and exploration with tons of multiplayer potential. In the game, you play as a character waking up after 10,000 years of cryogenic sleep on a brand-new planet, where you're set to rebuild society. And to cater to as wide an audience as possible, there is quite literally something for everyone's tastes in Dual Universe, with a fully editable player world in one neat package.

This new Avatar game is the second bash that Ubisoft have taken at the sprawling science fiction world, with the 2009's attempt best forgotten for its sloppy mechanics and half-arsed motion control - but hey, it looked pretty, so at least it replicated the whole experience of the movie pretty well too. This Avatar game will also be another tie in, coming as part of the release for Avatar 2 in December 2020. The game will be a companion piece that won't follow the plot of the movie precisely, but rather act as another point to jump into the universe with, which could work out pretty well if the studio manages to balance the incredible alien world with a story that's worth investing in.

    Cyberpunk 2077

Based on the pen and paper tabletop game of Cyberpunk 2020, it only makes sense that we'll be seeing the 2077 reiteration next year. This futuristic, first-person, dystopian shooter/RPG blends action, humor, gore and Keanu Reeves for something that already feels particularly special. For one thing, the game is massively detailed and dense with features. Not only is the game world bigger than most, but it is being completely handcrafted.
