I don't have an Android smartphone with NFC so I decided to write my own Amiiqo software for Windows.

The required hardware costs less than $15 on eBay.

If you have any feature requests, I am listening :)

    Features:
    - backup amiibo to file (including originality signature)
    - lock/unlock amiiqo
    - display amiiqo serial number
    - display amiiqo bank list (bank number + amiibo series/name) and active bank
    - export amiiqo bank list to text file
    - backup amiiqo bank(s) to file (including originality signature)
    - restore amiiqo bank from file (including originality signature)
    - erase amiiqo bank(s)
    - change active bank number
    - change bank count

    Features (planned):
    - display amiibo nickname, owner, stored game data (requires decryption)
    - restore amiibo from file (UID of amiibo and dump have to match)

    Hardware:
    - PN532 SPI/I2C/UART board ($12.05) + USB UART adapter ($1.12) -- supported (beware, not all PN532 boards are compatible with Amiiqo)
    - N2 Elite USB NFC Reader/Writer -- under investigation
    - MFRC522 UART board ($4.99) + USB UART adapter ($1.12) -- not supported, board contains a microprocessor with crappy firmware
    - ACR122U NFC Reader ($32.77) -- not supported, communication issues
    - ACR1252U NFC Reader (> $50) -- not supported, communication issues
    - Action Replay PowerSaves for amiibo -- not supported, appears to use a custom USB protocol
    - Maxlander -- not supported, appears to use a custom USB protocol

PN532 board (good, works very well with my V1 Amiiqo):

PN532 board (bad, does not work at all with my V1 Amiiqo):

    Releases:
Amiiqo Manager 0.4 alpha 1 (removed, bank restore does not work)
    Amiiqo Manager 0.4 alpha 2

Hey man, this is amazing !
Your app looks really handy. I'm completely interested ! i'll wait for your release !
Do you think it'll be compatible with the future Amiiqo USB reader ?

I communicate directly with a PN532 chip via a USB UART adapter so only that hardware solution will be supported in the initial version. The hardware (PN532 SPI/I2C/UART board and USB UART adapter) costs $14 on eBay. I am currently looking at another hardware solution (MFRC522 SPI board and USB UART adapter) which only costs $5 on eBay. I already have the MFRC522 board but need to modify the hardware so that it will work via UART and study the protocol. If someone has a USB RFID reader/writer and wants me to add support for it to my software, then contact me via PM.

I discovered a very useful Amiiqo command :)

    Video: http://1drv.ms/1ZKFgv3

I almost killed my Green Yarn Yoshi amiibo while experimenting with writing data to an amiibo. Super Mario Maker no longer recognized it as an amiibo. No visible data had changed but for some reason it would no longer work. Luckily I was able to figure out what I did and repair the damage. Disaster avoided. Phew!

Nice you're still enhancing your app.
Could you give some more precise link to those items :
    PN532 SPI/I2C/UART board ($12.05) + USB UART adapter ($1.12) -- supported
When i copy PN532 SPI/I2C/UART in eBay search bar, i have many things that i don't even know :]

This looks awesome! Hopefully the official team would build some of these features into their official app.

This looks very interesting. Will it support the ACR122U USB NFC Tag Reader/Writer? :)

Still working on support for ACR122U and ACR1252U readers. Those with an ACR122U will receive an alpha version of my software via PM soon.

Cool. These came in. It's like electronics class again. I don't remember the last time I soldered something.

Very nice to hear this, the Amiiqo official writer is on hold it seems. No information whatsoever.

When will you release the software? I want to get going with it, and buy the parts so I can get it to work with your software.

Please let me know when you release it!

Is it easy to solder it?

Yeah... some sort of update would be appreciated. I don't use my computer anymore since it's been having issues. Hopefully they release a new update to their Android app or someone with coding abilities can make a rival app that works with the amiiqo.

It was a 4 pin header. It took me less than a minute.

Thanks I think I can manage that, but first got to wait for OP if he has the software for me or when he'll release it. Because I do not know if he did.
