The only flash card for 3DS! -- Play backup 3DS ROMS with GATEWAY 3DS!

Finally the wait is over, you can enjoy 'backup' games on your Nintendo 3DS handheld console, as Gateway-3DS is coming soon, the world's first true flash card for the 3DS. Yes, that is right 3DS games

Normally you would not see 3DS news on a PS3 site, but we thought you should know that just like people originally thought that the PS3 would be never 'cracked', the impossible has now been done on the Nintendo 3DS console, an 'flash card' has been designed that supports actual 3DS 'backup ROMs', and we already have confirmed from some old-school Nintendo DS homebrew developers that they might be in the near future even some cool new unique 'homebrew' games, and most likely even better 'emulators' now that the 3DS has been fully unlock, just like what happen to the PS3 when 'GeoHot' appeared, there is hope that maybe even the PS4 can be cracked in near future, as people thought the 3DS would never be by-pass, it gives us hope!

Here is their official 'proof' video from Gateway-3DS, but like we said above it has been confirmed from resellers and original flash card NDS developers that this device is real and coming very soon for your 3DS enjoyment:

    Yep, all fixed.

And for those asking, it is 'early video' before the 'game manager' was finished in coding by the homebrew developers, reason for 3 microsd one for each rom.

And it should be shipping in less then 2 weeks.

Great news we have today, we here at MaxConsole have confirmed from resellers and original NDS flash card homebrew developers that the following news about the Nintendo 3DS is actually happening, the impossible has been done, there is now actual working Flash Card for the 3DS, not just for old DS games, but your actual 3DS games.

Will be interesting to see how it handles updates to the 3DS system. Seems like an easy block by Nintendo on this one unless it 100% can spoof a legit game.

Whoah. Well, it looks real to me.

And while a microSD per game its a bit impractical, well... it's a start. Can't wait to hear more about this one soon (and about its price too, ofc).

may just have to try and convince the wife that this is a good investment even though we're on a horribly tight budget now that we've moved to Seattle from Anchorage

Looks like I may have to get a 3DS...only reason I haven't is because I HATE having those little cards laying around with 4 kids, it's a recipe for disaster.

This is exciting news. I am only interested in this device to play multi player without buying the same game twice. For me and the wife. Would be nice to play Mario Party (when it comes out) and DK Country with her. I pretty much buy all the games I play on a regular basis anyway.

    1. So there is a game manager, does this mean multiple roms run from one sdcard or will it still be one card per rom?
    2. Does this card support homebrew?
    3. Will it run DS + 3DS games or just 3DS?

So if I read the correctly--I'm new to the 3DS thing--once they've coded a game manager, you won't need a different MicroSD for each game?

Does this bypass region restrictions (if this is true)? Because that is my biggest issue with the 3DS.

no , games will go on the microsd and when you boot the card it will boot the game manager which will let you select the game from a list of ones available.

i do see a couple of issues here though.....
    1) firmware updates to the console will kill the card
    2) if the card itself is updateable then how? and is it open source so others can code for it in case of the sellers having legal issues ;)
    3) what does it report to nintendo as far as the game name because if half a million people all start playing for hours on "barbie" it wont be hard to block it or can we import our own headers to use a game we already own?
    4) the region encoding is fixed, not optional, in the hardware so these carts will either require a specific region ds or the availability of multiple bootstraps to be flashed to the card (once that is bypassed any region rom should run on any region 3ds, but roms could start to check the region after boot and bang goes the region unlocking)

Currently the 'game manager' is still in works, but it is coming most likely after it ships in 2 weeks, and 'homebrew' will take a while, as people are still working on SDK -- Currently it used one rom by microsd.

As for question #3 not sure, if it also can handle DS games, I will check into it for you guys.

Where can we pre-purchase? On their main site, resellers info is missing.

hook me up with a copy and I'll give a fair and impartial review of it :p (plus give me a reason to dust off the 3DS since I've beat Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon lol)
