Apple has quietly pushed out iOS 7.0.6 and 6.1.6: 'small' updates that addresses a major unknown security issue with its mobile OS.
A major flaw in Apple's iOS could allow hackers to intercept e-mail and other communications that are meant to be encrypted, the company said while quietly releasing an update for the mobile OS in order to patch it.
Apple didn't share many details about the flaw, but experts say that if attackers have access to an user's network (i.e. sharing an unsecure wireless service offered by a restaurant), they could see or alter exchanges between the user and protected sites such as Gmail and Facebook.
