Tricky the way it's stated in this article. It is implied that Sony had to do with removing this emulator, but it's not directly stated.

That's probably because Zeus knows that the emulator was removed by Google because the author was violating GPL by not making the source available (which he now is, of course). Implying that it's yet another Sony attack is far better for the z0MGz, though.

You're probably right that it was removed due to Zoddt violating GPL since his emulator is based on PCSX-ReARMed by Notaz. HOWEVER, Google has said NOTHING about the definitive reason why it was removed. It is speculated that it was removed due to GPL infringement, now that we have the source and looked at it (and since Zoddt now told everyone it was based off of another emulator. JUST AS IT WAS SPECULATED that Sony may have something to do with it when the Sony Xperia was released a day before. P.S. Maxconsole isn't the only website that thought it was more than just a coincidence.

True. Sony as of lately hasn't exactly earned the benefit of the doubt.

it was removed because sony "convinced" google that it was "undesirable"

So why is there another emulator for ps1 and bios and rom apps then still on the official android marketplace. If Sony was behind it to sell people games then all things related to the ps1 would be removed and they have not. So suggests that the GPL infringement is far more creditable.
