I don't think this is anything new. This has been going on for a while now. But at the end of the day this is useless. There are hundreds of alternate search engines that wont implement such a useless policy. This policy will hurt google cause it is what it is and that is censorship... If they can censor piracy what else can they censor? The truth? China censorship policy has reached the rest of the world...

If they want to censor something maybe they would remove all the results that has "software-informer" in them.

Pretty funny to see this. For a company that made such an international incident over China's internet censorship, they sure don't mind censoring when big corporations are involved. I lose more respect for Google each day. Not that I care about piracy, but I am against internet censorship in any form.

Meh, people actually use google to find pirated stuff? I guess they probably do, but...I'm sure the results probably aren't the greatest.

if they are going to censor this, maybe someone needs to put some pressure on them because they found a virus using google.

The greatest irony is that they bitched to China about censorship, but yet when it's convenient to them they do the same.

This might end up with lots of users changing sides on search engines.

Haven't we learnt anything througout times? Piracy always finds it's way.

Still, I suppose this is more of a hit for those using Windows than for people using Linux ;-)
