The world of eSports continues to grow and there is an arm of eSports that is also doing the same. This is betting on events, something we have seen rise in popularity over the past decade.

If you look at the eSports betting service that is available now compared to what was available 10 years ago, it is hardly recognisable. Things have shifted at a rapid rate, and it is fair to say that both the bookmakers and the eSports industry as a whole have both benefited from their relationship growth.

We are seeing more bookmakers involved than ever before, more ways to bet, live streams and much more all become part of the eSports betting service. There has never been a better time to join in, and while ever things are heading in this direction, more and more are going to be doing so.

    Bookmakers and Betting Markets

When eSports betting first began, only a handful of bookmakers decided to offer bets on the events taking place. Now, almost every bookmaker will take bets on eSports.

These all offer their own slightly different unique service, but they all have many different betting markets and competitive odds. On sites such as Free Bets UK you can even filter these bookies by trust to see which bookmakers are the most trusted by players if you are concerned about that.

A range of betting markets is always something you should look out for when you are choosing which bookmaker to sign up with. You may not use all of these but being able to bet in different ways means that you always have options in front of you.

Anyone just arriving into the world of eSports betting will have many bookmakers and betting markets to choose from when they get started.

    Live Betting & Streaming

The entire betting industry took a huge step forward with the introduction of live betting. Alongside this came live streaming too, which added even more to the service.

Now you no longer have to bet before a game takes place, you can bet during play. This is available with many bookmakers and most have eSports as part of their live betting service.

The bigger events are live streamed too, which is great to see. Those who are betting can watch a game live without moving away from their betting page and the option to watch a stream could potentially bring new fans to watching.

The streaming of events works both ways and is a fantastic addition to the eSports betting industry as a whole.

    What is the Next Step?

Both eSports as a whole and eSports betting are expected to continue to rise in future years.

We could see more games come to the fore and join the main eSports service, so it is always worth keeping an eye on the latest PC gaming reviews to see what is being released.

In terms of eSports betting, we are on the cusp of a big move made by someone in the industry. This could be the sponsorship of a big event or one of the most popular teams.

The number of eSports gamblers is on the rise, bookmakers are taking advantage of that and if one of them wants to stand out from the crowd, sponsorship could be the way to do that. A big event such as the Fortnite World Cup would be the perfect sponsorship deal for someone to take on.

Keep an eye out for this as it could be the moment when eSports betting takes another huge step forward.
