This 8GB MS I'm currently usin' just isn't cuttin' it anymore.

    I'm usin' 5.50 GEN-D3.

If I can use a 32GB MS, will all of my files be unaffected?

For sure is the more economic solution, but it is affected to lags...

Example. There are some adapters, like photofast5400 where you can do, two MicroSdHc 16+16 Gb to made a 32Gb memory.

Class of memories or bad quality can affect the read speed in memory stick, this mean lags is game, with slow in some scene, where there is a lot of graphic.

This happend also with genuine 16Gb or 32Gb memory stick duo pro Sony original, but usually there are less lags in official pro duo then 16+16 adapter.

Xeno thinks i am referring to using two sticks with an adapter or sd cards, I am not :)
I'm sure you can switch between two sticks easily, if not just get the 32gb stick i think the limit is 64gb anyway.

If I'm not mistaken, Sandisk makes a 32GB *Magic Gate* memory stick. It should work great.

Isn't the limit 16gb? I could be wrong, the chances of me getting a 32gb stick are poor.

I'd like to see the PSP2 with an internal hard drive or at least a GIANT flash memory, 1tb would be nice :)

Not afaik but there is a limit, the standard for duo/m2 i believe allows for up to 1tb capacity but card readers and hardware is limited by software to anticipate the updated roadmap but not exceed it. I'm not sure why they do that but it probably has something to do with success and cloners, you don't want to give them the ability to exceed your product specs at cheaper costs.

well i use the photofast so in personal experience i going to say the oters are half right, my 32gb microsd card with adapter lags but only on the xmb and i dont mean anything major just load times slightly longer when pcking a game to play on my memory stick, never lags in game for me tho, but then again i like to set my speed on 333mhz for smooth gaming. and you can set xmb to 333mhz to fix the xmb lag

Clock speed has little to do with MS read/write times... EG: if you want to read from a hard drive faster, you spin the platters faster, not increase your processor speed...
