    Hello,

I've just finished installing my FIRST Cobra ODE (btw, what a wonderful hardware), and I'm having some issues:

Let's set up a scenario first:
    1) I have previously played a game (LED green ok)
    2) I quit the game and powered down the machine properly

Ok, now that you all know where I was before I experience the errors, here I go:

If I unplug the power cord from behind the console, wait 5 sec and plug it back, as soon as I plug the cord, the Cobra LED will quickly lit green, then it turns off and after 1-2 sec turn on red, then turns off and stays off. No matter if I remove the HDD (the light will lit red) and plug it back again, the led will be off (after I plug it back, the led will turn from red to off)
At this scenario, if I turn on the console with led off, the system will become "unstable" and if I remove the HDD and put it back, the system freezes (although I don't know if it will happen every time)

To "overcome" this scenario, everytime I need to unplug the cord, I have to unplug the HDD as well and do as follows:
    1) Plug the cord back in
    2) Turn on the console (without the HDD, as I mentioned)
    3) After I turn on I plug the HDD (I don't need to wait the system to fully boot up)

This will give me a solid green LED, but the CObra Manager will not be found, so I have restart the system (power down, power up again) without removing the cords (power and USB).

After that, the system will be fine and I can play games.

I'm attaching some pictures of my install.

    Any advises are very welcome.

    Thanks!

You didn't use the double sided sticker to isolate the board from the drive. The metal could be causing shorts which would make the board unstable.

    Hello magneto,

Sorry for not mentioning that, but I always use insulating tape and the board is insulated.
I'll use the double sided sticker tape when I'll ready to close the console, but the board is indeed insulated :)

    Any other advises?

    Thanks in advance!

I didn't notice it in your picture. The other possibility is that the HDD doesn't get enough power, so I suggest using the USB Y Cable.
When the light turns off it's because it had an error reading from the HDD while trying to parse the iso files.
I wrote a troubleshooting guide that you can use as reference : http://www.ps3crunch.net/forum/threads/7853-READ-FIRST-Troubleshooting-guide

One thing worth mentioning, make sure that whenever you copy files into your HDD you use the "safely remove hardware" in windows before unplugging the HDD. Not doing so can corrupt the partition or leave files corrupted which can cause instability.
