The third season of Marvel’s Daredevil has arrived on Netflix starting from 19 October.

Among the super heroes by the American house of ideas that arrived on the most famous video streaming site in the world, undoubtedly "the Devil of Hell's Kitchen" is the one that most convinced both critics and the public. It comes with a definitely superior cast and script compared to the passable quality of the series dedicated to Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher as well as the "all stars" mini-series of The Defenders.

However, if we talk about Daredevil on this site, it is because in this new series a couple of musical tributes to two important video games have been revealed in the last days. The Marvel series has in fact "musically cited" two gaming pearls such as Mass Effect 3 by Bioware and the exclusive production for PlayStation 4, recently released, also dedicated to a Marvel character, one of the most beloved of all time: Spider-Man by Insomniac Games. Two Easter eggs that already gained lots of appreciation on the net by many gamers. This was easy to foresee and there was certainly no need for a bet calculator to predict the positive feedback that this move would have on a certain type of audience.

The musical quotes were made with some passages taken from the soundtracks of the two games (if you do not want to spoil the surprise, please jump from here to the end of this article). In this case, the beautiful Leaving Earth from Mass Effect 3 in the Daredevil series recap and some music from the last Spidey in the second episode of the series.

This Easter egg didn’t go unnoticed, in particular the one dedicated to the exclusive PlayStation 4 release of great success and, who knows, if could be reciprocated in some way in the upcoming content of the game. On the other hand, Matt Murdock and Peter Parker have been working together for many decades in comics creation, and we certainly do not see nothing standing in the way from a partnership in the videogame field.

Speaking of Marvel superheroes and videogames, for a while, all traces of the Square Enix production dedicated to the Avengers have been lost. Unveiled in the distant January 26, 2017 with the mysterious hashtag #reassemble, the videogame has really disappeared from the net. Many people hoped that the last E3 in Los Angeles would be the right stage to unveil it but after almost two years, nothing has emerged besides the initial information that came out at the time of the announcement.

We know that the project is in the hands of the Crystal Dynamics team, author, among others, of Tomb Raider’s last three chapters with the cooperation of Eidos-Montréal. The Avengers project will include all characters, all settings and all the iconic moments that thrilled the longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will bring players into a unique universe immersing them in an adventure that will keep them busy, according to Enix Teams, for the next few years.

Waiting for news on the Avengers’ front, let's enjoy for the moment the musical tributes by Marvel’s Daredevil to our two beloved videogames...
