Good news all you PS3 owning Facebook lovers. Sony has confirmed that the new PS3 firmware v3.10 will indeed incorporate Facebook integration, just like its major rival at Microsoft.

tbh Sony need to work hard on making the Interface more accessible like the 360. I wouldn't use Facebook on PS3 because navigation is cumbersome, they need a dash redesign that incorporates the store, etc.

much as with my view of it on the 360, i hope it is a seperate optional install, and not madatory bloatware wasting my HDD space. My HDD is for storing game realted stuff not wanna be PC bloatware. I won't even soil my PC with this junk, the missus tries to use it on my PC but I have blocked facebook.com on it now and told her it must be a windows 7 problem :) .

Wouldn't want to waste that whole quarter of a megabyte! Also I don't believe you have a [sic] missus, enjoy your hand.

The XMB maybe better but the Facebook integration is poor compared to the one on X360.

xmb is truly superb and has been used on all sony lines of products from consoles to handhelds, even tv's and dvd players.

has sony innovated any new features? seems to me every feature added to the ps3 xmb is just a knockoff of one m$ already has.

Thats right, i don't want to waste any space on my HDD for a somthing that is nothing at all to do with gaming on my games console. Just because you may not be able to establish a relationship with women beyond watching internet porn, does not mean the rest of us are like you :p

Yep, blame sony for that then, 60GB designed for game usuage on a console that really does need the space for games, so any space wasted for unusued hermit creating software is indeed a waste of my limited HDD space. And no I will not buy a larger HDD, 60GB is fine so long as I don't have to bloat it out with the "social networking" nonsense. Going out and meeting people in person is my idea of social networking, if you wat to meet new peopl go to the pup or clubbing, not sat behind a keyboard.

Don't think he's old enough to frequent a pub, just read his childish posts all over the forum, this child needs to be banned!

perhaps he got internet and a new computer for his 13th birthday!
