    13/02 – 11.3 Emunand

It's been just over a week since Nintendo sadly updated their Nintendo 3DS firmware to v11.3, but now Gateway 3DS developers have released an 'status update' on their progress towards a big new update for their flashcarts with lots of amazing new features!
People were worried Gateway 3DS had not updated their website, but no longer, and in their 'status update', they have stated that alot more goodies are in store, so the wait will be well worth it, all tho sadly it might still be a few more weeks away, but its coming SOON!
Good things come to those that wait! :)

      Considering we can
You don't necessarily have to change, as you may already know both gateway and cfw's can run together and you get the best of both the worlds!

I think the project died, no update from February, and even the A9LH support done as made as private program.

Too silent and too few done for too long.
CFW stole the market and the interest to develop for the card.

I love Gateway project and I buy two for my console and I Suggested to many friends to buy one.
No official news only rumors ..... i hope for a new update ...and I wait it but I do not think there will be.

I agree, their communication with users could be considerably better, especially on their own website, but that's sadly another quirk of devs everywhere, either they run off at the mouth with inconsequential status updates/technobabble, or they go missing for months or even years at a time.

It is what it is. I believe Gary's posts, that indicates to me they're still working at least.

I kinda agree with you. The team has taken plenty of criticism in the past for releasing info about a new update and taking months before the actual release. At this point in the dev cycle of their product there is no reason to stir the hype pot and rile up the community. I am a Gateway owner and despite my appreciation for their continued support I find it utterly annoying. Here's a thought when the actual update is ready for the end user just release it and actually surprise your user-base. Their A9LH implementation was woefully short and was described just short of the second coming of Jesus. If they would have just released it, the Gateway users would have been pleasantly surprised and not have to endure hundreds of pages of Gateway flaming here and on GBATemp. All that nonsense aside I look forward to an EVENTUAL release.

Well, now I also have a n3ds XL on Luma 8 boot9strap and 11.4 sysnand, in addition to my o3ds. So I seriously hope they show up soon, I'd like to be able to use my blue card for ds roms at least, if not the red card on it.

What does that have to do with this thread? Just use the blue card. It should work naturally in Luma, unless the recent update broke it. If it did break it, just install flashcardtimewarp (older blacklist).

I'm a noob to cfw. I got it sorted, I had been told I'd need to run Wood on it (untrue), which is why it was relevant, as I thought Gateway would have to update that as well. As it is, I followed a gbatemp tutorial that got my red card running under the latest Luma.

backup your Emunand and all the files in your SD. If you decide to go to cfw like LUMA, you can restore your emunand to your sysnand or make another emunand. it should be ok cause i still have all my saves when i use this method in 11.2

well, not sure of it...when i move to luma following the guide, i did backup all my sd files, but i just inject the emunand to the sysnand and did nothing more. all my cia games' saves had been good.
      https://3ds.guide/move-emunand this page might help
