    Get hold of a utility called mspformat (it's included in the original pandora release) and run it from the command line to format your stick. Then run the DCv4 installer again.

    Ok, I didn't do mspformat, but I did right click on the psp drive and clicked "Format" and it deleted everything on the MSPD, but it's not working.

    Does mspformat do something beyond just deleting everything?

    How am I going to get this to work? nothing gets my screen to light up or have the networking lights light up...

    please help!!

    It's no 'crap'. For being ungrateful and inpatient, you won't receive any more support from me.

    I googled:
    cannot open logical drive

    The browser here at work will not open the page but... maybe it just looks like it's taking a long time. Too long so I gave up and assumed it was what you're looking for. Always remember, you can search for the error you are recieving to see if anyone else has had this problem before. They probably have.

    Remember to be respectful, courteous and patient. Imagine what it would be like if NOBODY would help you. CFW isn't a necessary part of life.

    @FRanatic

    The hard part is helping without doing it for them, isn't it? It's hard to teach people to learn.

    I do my best to help and that requires the "help of others". I'm amazed when people have so many trouble with something like this.

    The Time Machine intigration is really geneous(sp). Thanks.:)
    I'm going to give you some company there now that I have a great review of the new xibit installer. I figure if you have several downgrader installers next to the words PANDORA BATTERY it really shouldn't take much more than that. But some of the people never get it. :confused:

    Thanks in advance...!!!!

    Hi,

    I've done everything...
    Used the auto installer, used BatTool to make the batt...
    However, when i insert the Magic Stick that was created and the Pandora's batt into the psp to be modified, all that happens is the green light coming on automatically.

    Nothing else happens...

    It would be great if you could help me here...

    Thanks a lot...

    @burgerdog:

    Grab yourself the mspformat utility from the original pandora release, run it from the xp commandline and then re-install DCv4.

    Did you press the digital Up key when on boot ? If not do so until you see the screen appear.

    Hi Franatic,

    How long do I have to hold the Up key for?
    Cos i've been doing that but there doesn't seem to be any response

    I've followed all the instructions word by word.
    Really don't know what's wrong...
    :confused:

    Is there anyway to not copy the flash1/registry settings over from when you run it? So that you start with a "fresh" PSP?

    Nope. DC is coded to do so. Just change the settings after the installation from the xmb. I've included some regular setings anyway.

    I've used my 1.5 psp fat pandora to downgrade numerous other fat psp's as well as a psp slim a while back. Just to make sure... will this work on the psp slims that are on sale now.. no matter what version?

    Just to clarify: Pandora, nand dumps, and DCv4. I want to dump my nand in case anything goes wrong. So I first install the pandora software, then backup my battery serial number/EEPROM. Then format/repartition from the menu, and finally convert the battery to a pandora.

    Next install DCv4, and dump the nand from there. Now the mem stick and battery are ready, and can be used to unbrick any PSP? Oh and I should backup my nand to my PC.

    Is everything in the right order?

    Thx for the info. Is there anyway to have DCv4 or 5 and pandora on the same mem stick? I only really want to have a single mem stick to use for unbricking/downgrading etc.
