Thought I would have a go at compiling Mednafen today and here's my result :)

Downloaded and built today from http://code.google.com/p/mednafen-ps3/

Havent tested it much yet, only a couple of gamegear games but seems fine to me.

    Have Fun!

I cant get any NDS games to load, says something like file type not supported.
I saw he added Desmume stuff (but probably not enough to get games to play yet) :)
Doesn't matter really. There's still loads to mess with. :)

Thanks for the Compile Pete_uk :)

    Doesn't work properly for me...
Tried to run a PS1 game, and I had to configure the controls. I then enabled Dynarec and had to restart. However, after restarding all my settings were lost.

Sorry can't replicate this. Just tried a PSX game and it had the settings I inputed yesterday.

Im not a coder at all. All I did was compile Robo's source using his Wiki instructions.

When you first boot mednafen, press R3 to open the settings menu. Go down and select "Sega Saturn (Yabause)" with X.

Make sure that "yabause.enable" is set to "ON"
Select "yabause.bios" with Square and browse to your Saturn Bios and select it with X. (Google will help here ;-) )
Then press circle twice to return to the file browser.

I have only had success with .BIN/.CUE
Also remeber that saturn emulation is very slow. Took about 5 mins at least for Sonic-R to load into the game, then it ran so slow it was unplayable.

    Hope this helps!

thanks. I just like to keep up with the emulation, and wanted to see if any progress was made. So far it won't even load into the game so I'm going to try a different BIOS. From your account it's still slow, but I'll keep this info for any future updates

I've been using the european bios.

I don't think that the Desmume or Mupen64Plus librarys are included in the compiled .ELF
I am currently trying to contact Mike_K to find out how I can include them in the PS3 build.

Speaking of Hobo, I assume your build doesn't have Sega Saturn support either? I know he's implementing Saturn support into mednafen but I doubt you have anything like that added in this release here, right? Thanks!

I assume only a select few games at that? BTW, do these emulator update releases support 3.41 CFW? Thanks!

I haven't tested it much myself to be honest, been busy compilling all of the other emulators.

I can't remember weather I selected 3.41 or 3.55 when I built the PKG lol.
If you want to test it and let me know if it works. I will be happy rebuild it for you if it dosen't.

    Pete

Sounds good! I'll test it out to see! Thanks! Edit: Won't even install on 3.41 CFW pete. I get an error when trying to install. Must have compiled for 3.55. Can you rebuild it for 3.41 CFW please?
