A recently filed Microsoft patent called 'Scalable multimedia computer system' could provide several hints about the Xbox 720...
A relatively recent Microsoft patent application from December 2010 -but published last month-, suggests that they could be considering the notion of console hardware that "can be customised and upgraded over time".
It specifically refers to a "scalable multimedia computer system architecture", and could give us a glimpse on what Microsoft could be planning...

The principle inventor behind thie patent application, Jeff Andrews, is one of the chief hardware architects at Microsoft.
Keep in mind this is just a patent and that its over 18 months old.
However, the fact this comes from leading Xbox engineers and has much in common with the '720' leak gives it extra-special levels of interest.
